Salmon Tours - Butte Creek and Feather River

Salmon Tours are being scheduled for both Butte Creek and the Feather River(read below). Summer tours have been canceled due to the super low return of salmon to Butte Creek. Spawning tours will be avaialbe after September 25 and run through October 10, if fish show up. Reserve your visit to view spawning Spring Run Salmon on Butte Creek. Docents are provided by the Friends of Butte Creek. A two hour visit with the salmon is being offered for a donation of $20 per person. Kids free! Refreshment options are available for a nominal charge. Individuals or groups can make reservations by contacting your favorite supporter:

Feather River Floating Tours

Friends of Butte Creek are working with our Feather River Partners to offer Spawning Salmon Tours on the river! That's right, you can float the river in a raft with salmon scientists and see and learn about the importance of Spring Run Chinook Salmon in the Feather River and the close relationship with Butte Creek Spring Run. The Oroville Salmon Festival is scheduled for September 23 and we will be floating that day. Also available are Saturday morning floats through November 11. All proceeds are dedicated to providing Floating Classroom activities for local schools. Help get more kids on the water and supporting salmon protection and restoration. Tickets are available now!
